What counts as a monitor?

One monitor = one thing being checked on a schedule. Each of these counts as a single monitor:

• An HTTP(S) endpoint check
• A TCP port check
• An SSL certificate expiry check
• A cron/heartbeat check (your job pings us; we alert if it goes quiet)

Status pages, team members, alert channels, and escalation policies are not metered — only monitors are. The Free plan includes 5 monitors, Team includes 50 per seat, pooled across the team.
