Pricing questions
What counts as a billable seat?
Only members at the write or publish permission level. Read-only members — people (or their AI tools) who just consult the knowledge base — are free on every plan, in unlimited numbers on Team and Business.
What happens when I add or remove a member mid-cycle?
Your subscription quantity follows the roster automatically. Added write seats are billed as a single consolidated prorated charge within a day; removing one credits your next invoice. There is nothing to reconcile by hand.
What are MCP calls?
Every request an AI tool makes to your knowledge base through the Model Context Protocol — a search, a document fetch, a draft. Allowances are pooled across the team, so a heavily used shared integration doesn't hit a personal cap.
What happens if we hit a Free plan limit?
Nothing breaks silently. Existing members keep working; adding a 4th write seat or a 2nd vault is blocked with a clear message until you upgrade, and MCP calls past the monthly allowance return an upgrade notice to the client.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes, from the billing page — the subscription runs until the end of the period you've paid for, then the team moves back to Free. Your data stays; only the paid limits change.
